First Annual Awards Presentation

The Navigators have been busy earning lots of badges this past year and they were honored for that at our first annual awards ceremony last weekend.  It was a fun learning experience for all.

We started off with the Seniors leading us in reciting our moral compass:
"As a Navigator I promise to do my best to create a world free of prejudice and ignorance; to treat people of every race, creed, lifestyle and ability with dignity and respect; to strengthen my body and improve my mind to reach my full potential; to preserve our planet and protect our freedom."

The Stargazers sang a fun camping
song that had a Navigator spin on it.

Juniors and Senors each gave their own special presentation, then awards were passed out.  Many of our Navigators learned to enjoy geocaching this year and earned a bade for that.  Other badges included cycling, cooking, hiking and community service.  We even had some Senior Navigators be promoted from Shadow to Tracker.

It has been an enjoyable year for all the Navigators and leaders.  We're all looking forward to many more memorable experiences together.
